90s Culture Club
Series of events in Etonian Art Museum KUMU dedicated to 90s as most dramatic period in Estonia, in cultural life it means also the beginning of new era, all the artworld was need to rebuild. This decade is quite well covered with texts, the "history-writing" began already in the middle of this decade. In 2001 was published ambitious book - Nosy Nineties - which attempted to describe and define and value the 90s cultural phenomenans. So when KUMU organized 90s exhibition "Collected crises" which was supported by the 90s Culture Club events, this were a next layer of texts added to the original topic. So this concept was built on of overlabeling, overwriting, textfeeding. This idea becomes most clearly visible in the design of book "Decade of the breakthrough" (yet unpublished) which uses the original design of Nosy Nineties. Events main organizer and curator: Maarin Ektermann Poster of exhibition, poster of 90s Club Night, catalogue design
