Jubilee festival poster. 

Goal was to make nonordinary classical music poster. And to avoid usual hokeyness of events like jubilee of living classic.

I tried to define the meaning of Arvo Pärt for Estonians. National pride Arvo Pärt is a passant of elite culture, there is no-one in Estonia who wouldn´t know this name. Yet wery few are ever heard his music. Arvo Pärt is symbol of elite culture. Just like Coca-Cola is equivalent symbol in mass culture. They both have become empty signifiers which are bigger then just a composer and brown sugar liquid.

Whole case became somehow scandalous when both CocaCola Company and some classical music admiers expressed strong protests against this design. Topic was even up in parlament and current minister of culture condmned design as inappropriate. At the end visual materials of festival were replaced with more neutral ones.
